agree 100% - I could not believe how they wanted to maximize on their profits this summer.. I thought it was way too opportunistic.
One may argue that maximizing on profits is what a companys core job is. I do not agree. You can still earn a living, employ many people, put back in to the market you earn from and by not acting greedy, you could assure this cycle to go on for many years to come ensuring a trust worthy brand name and image. But instead of trying to keep a good brand image, TC decided to go huge and undercut all players in the market and hold a monopoly in travel industry.
My argument and the list of things they done wrong in
Icmeler on my perspective could go forever, aggressive contracting to hoteliers, under paying property owners, taking exclusivity at various properties just so no competition could enter it but not fullfilling its promises to the hotelier therefore causing poor services to be received by the customers, not giving any sincere care to its customers, underpaying its employees, no regional social awareness programs as in planting a single tree on Icmeler hills..
A huge company selling holidays and making its money from many hoteliers around the world in many different regions but not putting anything back into that region... In other words, taking 20 but only giving 1 back. A company that has been around since the 1800's should have known better so at last, I dont think they will go under at all, if anything they will downsize a bit and hopefully trade in better terms for both the suppliers and the consumers but If they dont and keep milking the holiday maker and the hotelier then I can only hope for them to disappear for the sake of everyone although such ending would cause alot of trouble for us in the industry.
