i wouldnt go to Greece
think the people are rude and its so expensive because of the euro and their economy

chill Katie it was a light hearted comment. :)
Ive got a good friend from CRETE his name is Panos, His mum cleans the apartments all day, his dad works in a quarry from 7-6, and his sister owns her own barbers in the old village while Panos keeps all his guests happy all day at the apartments....not much difference from any SC apartments in Icmeler.Panos is also the Crete boddybuilding champion of 2000 and he represented Greece at the Olympics. Apart from that they are very friendly people who love to share food and time with all guests.
Im not trying to compare this with Icmeler... as they are two different cultures with two different outlooks on life,
As for the Euro talk... ask any Greek person and they will tell you that they never wanted the Euro in the first place... Bring back the Drachma is what they will tell you.

How do I know this? I speak to Panos every other week. :)

GREECE !?!?!?*** have you seen the Euro lately - Give me Turkey every time, the Tlr is great at the moment but even forgetting the exchange rate the Turkish people are a lot more frendly that the Greeks.

Icmeler every time. Me and Angela have been going since our late 20's. Plenty of lively bars and plenty of places to people watch by the canal and sea front. If you fancy a change you can always jump across Marmaris by water taxi or Dolmus.

Dont forget Eastenders at the end of the night

Icmeler. I have heard that some people who have booked a holiday in Marmaris come to Icmeler every day to enjoy the beech and resturants and then the bars at night!!

It's got to be Icmeler, every time. we usually try somewhere else in May, and love Dalyan too, but we always head home for August/September. :P :D

I am another one for Icmeler.

We used to spend our holidays in Marmaris, until we took a trip to Icmeler in 2007 and never looked back since then.

Icmeler can be as noisy or as quiet and laid back as you want it to be, there are numerous little places for people watching and really relaxing, but then on the other hand, you can have all the boom boom music and dancing waiters too if thats what you want to see. Karaoke is on most evenings in a few bars too if thats something you like to do. The restaurants in Icmeler offer fabulous meals and you will find a range from Steak and Chips to Authentic Turkish Cuisine around the resort.

It has a charm all of its own, and a real magnetism that pulls people back time after time.

Wherever you decide to book for, I hope you both have a lovely time :D
