Ask yourself why are Onur Air having to cancel or merge flights from the Uk- Dalaman during 2011 ?.
Numbers are down all over the tourist sector not just Turkey or Icmeler.
I would not blame it on AI hotels for the lack of numbers in Icmeler resaraunts.

Numbers are down all over the place.

This year cost 260 each for flights, 600 for 2 weeks 2 bed apt at Bonjour, 168 for 2 weeks aircon (3 aircon units), 90 quid transfers, spends averaged around 100 quid a day (incl. trips food/drink, clothes and pressies etc) £1400. That's nearly £2800 and certainly not peanuts!!. I'm not complaining cos we had an absolute ball BUT for around a grand a head you can get a pretty decent all inc or cruise anywhere.

For example for around £750 you can get a week in Vegas flying with Virgin direct staying in a top hotel b & b. We went to Goa last year, booked independant flights and accommmodation and I couldn't spend my money it was so cheap. We flew BA from Heathrow to Mumbai around 375 each return, internal return flights from Mumbai to Goa 70 each,2 weeks b&b in a nice hotel 200, then on return journey 2 nights in Mumbai hotel 80. We spent around 800, ate and drank like kings did loads of brilliant trips bought loads of clothes and pressies, chuck in fuel and 2 weeks parking at Heathrow and we had the lot for around £2000. That's for 16 days, travelling half way around the world and having amazing adventures travelling.

The point I am trying to make without boring you all with my life story is exactly as Collette stated before, 2 grand can buy you an exotic holiday now outside of Europe. Much as we love Turkey it ain't cheap anymore and the world is a big place. Still love it though having said all that and I wish evryone well on their travels to Icmeler :P
