The Loveboat has changed this year. The menu gives you a price for the basic dish but any extras like potatoes, chips, salads, sauces etc are an extra charge. So beware, a basic steak could cost you up to 20Tl extra. On speaking to the manager of the Chef restaurant next to the Loveboat he tells me that he is getting lots of customers from the Loveboat as people will not pay the inflated prices. The Chef is an excellent restaurant and good value for money but for me the best is the Wayside. Great hosts and the food is amazing.

I think its called Liberty, have always fancied it,might give it a try in September.

Diane :D

Liberty is excellent and if you book a table on the jetty it is very lovely.

Loveboat is very nice but pricey as people have said. Its a novelty as the waiters are all dressed in sailors uniforms and the restaurant itself is decked out like a ship.

I like Bonjour. The staff are wonderful, restaurant is very clean and well set out. Not much of a view but good for watching people go by. But, now the food is excellent. Steaks to die for, just scrumptious if you ask me. I have mentioned Liberty in a quote by another poster and this is a lovely place too.

Liberty has a jetty that you can book a table on. Its a walk along the prom to get to it but once seated you get a cool breeze off the sea and you can look around the bay of icmeler and see all the twinkling lights, its really really nice. Its really nice in the day too, I usually stroll off down there mid afternoon and have a wrap & a lovely cold Efes, sit inside and watch people. Lovely past time. :)

I suggest The Wayside... perhaps followed by a stroll up to the Cafe Del Mar

Coco Beach on the sea front now have an upstairs with fantastic views, go there during the day and book a table (table 101 is the prime spot). Great food, great service and really friendlt staff. Also great for during the day with free sunbeds on the beach if youre early enough. :)

Cafe del Mar, can be quite a walk along the seafront and up the little hill, depending on where you are staying but it's one of the best views of the bay. The food is lovely and it's quite romantic. I don't think there is entertainment after 10 but if you're looking for a romantic night you might not want that anyway or you can always move on after a meal and a few drinks! x

Yes the lighthouse do excellent meals, the steaks are done to your liking, you pay a little extra but the food and service are best by far. Good choice of menu !!!

thanks for letting us know John, guess it's another reason for me not to go in there  Wayside food is lovely as are the staff and hosts, but [sorry Colette] when we went, there were cats wandering round and it would make me think twice about going back - just don't like animals around my feet while am eating...

cheers for that yidley, may well pay them a visit - sea views and not as far to walk as Cafe Del Mar, though the views are spectacular

My favorite for a special night, lovely homecooked Turkish food and a great relaxed atmosphere has to be the Selam - no great views, just great hosts and a little oasis in the heart of Icmeler
