How much is Pide? It looks lovely. I saw a little place just around the corner from the Alvaro where we stay advertising the mince beef one, but it was like a side street then a little turn and another then I'm lost.It did sound lush though.
its about 7 lira, there is the kayra which is about 100 yards up from the tansis going towards the village and my favourite is Kardelin opposite Tansis

You will love the atmosphere there, make sure you get the little seating area, that is all cushions...........I love to sit there just listening to the birds, you can almost believe you are miles from anywhere.
I'm not sure about Icmeler but I know in Kizkalesi there are some places where you take your topping (paynir, sujuk, onion, tomoatoes, olives etc) and they will make the pide for you. Some have tables and you can buy a soft drink while you wait for it to cook. Is there something like this in the old village maybe?
We had a lovley minced met Pide at the cafe on Cocco beach a few drinks from Messi on the beach then in for lunch, a good sized helping then back on the beach.
we had the best lentil soup i have ever tasted, and my first ever taste of lahmacun, last year at the Bahar pide.very nice people and the cheapest meal we have had in years.no alcohol licence but that made the first one all the sweeter.
