Ring your credit card company, you should be covered with them.

Did you have holiday insurance? If you did then might be worth ringing them as well.

There is a number on the BBC website

This is all terrible

Got an email from TR this morning telling me about Goldtrail and advising to phone them asap if I wanted to book another holiday. Been trying to phone since 9.00am but it is constantly engaged. In the meantime the prices of flights on everyone's websites have gone up by around £50 per person. Decided just to book online myself before they put prices up any more. Now holding on the phone to Civil Aviation Authority to put in a claim.

Hopefully it's 3rd time lucky for us

There is another problem here.

My phone has been ringing all morning and people that have booked as early as March with goldtrail are now asking me for flights and accommodations.

I can do the flights I say but Icmeler is full and there is no room anywhere (unless they want Litera which will now be very empty I think) so I tell them to call the apartments they were booked into with goldtrail (Ekinci) and they tell them that they are full and goldtrail never reserved rooms for them.

So there are flights but at the moment there are no rooms being released to any agents

They have some flights with goldtrail as I found out to my horror. Flights were with onur air through goldtrail. I have contacted my bank and they have given me instructions to claim back money. Still hassle trying to re book flights as I may need new transfers also. Lifes a bitch. Carol

Managed to get 8 seats on a thomas Cook flight - more expensive but at least our holiday is back on. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a refund from the CAA?

Cheers John

My son booked for icmeler yesterday at 5.30pm for ince apts with goldtrail in late sept through a high street travel agent, the company alledgally went bust at 4pm, how can this happen?? he's in his early 20's and was going on a first time holiday with his girlfriend who hasn't had a holiday in years, as was mentioned earlier the government ought to now start doing something about this, it's getting to be a regular occurance ..... I'm appalled!!

WOW so goldtrail where saying they had booked people's apartments when they hadn't even done that. They have known for a while that they were going into administration but still took holiday bookings. So unfair on people!!

I found out off a friend who lives in Icmeler that the Ince has been fully booked for quite a while. Goldtrail seem to of been just promising people apartments knowing that it was not going to go ahead as they knew they were going to go bust i think they just wanted all the bookings and money!!! Grr

Gutted.....supposed to be going on Monday for a week and thats done now. Can't afford to rebook everything as we just booked it 3 weeks ago with the spare cash we had. Will now also get screwed when we take the unused Lira back to shop, and just found out we can't claim our hotel and parking back either for tomorrow night as its too late.

As usual the owners of this company will be scratching an itch with their ivory back scratcher saying "we tried everything" while we lose out....RATS.....

Rats is an insult to, well rats - scum more like it. They knew they were going to hit the wall yet kept on taking deposits and final payments right up until the end. They should be locked up for fraud.

Just incase anyone was worried about their flights for next year with Aegean, there is nothing to worry about. Goldtrail may have used Aegean for their flights, but Aegean have absolutely nothing to do with Goldtrail.

I hope all of you affected by this Goldtrail collapse can get something sorted out. Devastating news.
