Hi Sue
Just been on the Nationwide site,

They class Turkey as in Europe. :D :D

Sue wrote:There are 2 types of flex account card. A basic CASH CARD which you use to be able to withdraw overseas but they are changing it so you can no longer withdraw cash from atms.

The other card is a VISA DEBIT CARD with which you get a cheque book, unlike the basic CASH CARD. You can still withdraw cash from atms in Turkey with this card, that is unchanged.

I rang the bank at tea time and was told that there is a charge of 1% on my VISA debit card for drawing foreign currency out of ATM machines in Turkey. I have a Flex account with a debit card and a cheque book.

I might call in to see the bank manager next week. It seems people are been told different things.
