But I still use it in Turkey

Hi Steve I would just check to be on the safeside, they say that the bank that if you dont have the cheque book one you need to upgrade to that one

Just been on the Nationwide site,
Picture of my card, nothing about cheque book (a lot of places no longer accept cheques), only charge is Outside Europe,
They class Turkey as in Europe.

thats good steve,i think the people who were affected have already been informed months ago

There are 2 types of flex account card. A basic CASH CARD which you use to be able to withdraw overseas but they are changing it so you can no longer withdraw cash from atms.

The other card is a VISA DEBIT CARD with which you get a cheque book, unlike the basic CASH CARD. You can still withdraw cash from atms in Turkey with this card, that is unchanged.

I rang the bank at tea time and was told that there is a charge of 1% on my VISA debit card for drawing foreign currency out of ATM machines in Turkey. I have a Flex account with a debit card and a cheque book.

I might call in to see the bank manager next week. It seems people are been told different things.

I would double check rew, the people who are affected were notified back in May, i think they told you porkies
