if you visit the Kerem down on the canal - save room for the cheesecake - yum yum yum.

all the restaurants I have visited have amazing desert menus - I just don't normally have room for them. delicious fresh cakes - chocolate, strawberry, - you name it! Depending on how many of us are out for dinner, we normally get a couple of portions and share.

fried ice-cream at the champagne bar is also worth trying - sounds awful I know, but it's delicious!

I'm the same, tamii - I love the starters and main courses so much, I've rarely got any room left for dessert, but I can also heartily recommend the cheesecake at the Kerem, which is to die for! Oh, and if you like pancakes, Mehmet the pancake man at the Holiday makes the best ones in town!

worse thing is Turkish waiters saying "by eck" lol hated that

There is also another turkish grill/restaurant near LAL, other side of the road, where Martin's Fun Pub used to be...LAL wasnt open when i was open, but i did have turkish mixed grill and meze starters in the other place (cant remember what it was called) again very nice food, proper waiters (not all over the customers !! ) turkish music etc... and reasonable prices :D

I just think about - BIKINI ICMELER BIKINI ICMELER BIKINI ICMELER :D

back on topic - my favourite Turkish dish is Sac Kavurna, its a casserole, made in the little pan type things (dont know the name) comes as chicken, lamb or beef. I love chicken sac kavurna with rice. Can almost taste it now.
