Just to let you know the interbank rate is 0.03 higher than it was this time last year. Its increasing by the day lets hope it keeps going it closed at 2.50 today.

Think I've had alucky escape I bought my currency on-line at a rrate of 2.4 but then found out from here the rate is going up in resort as I thought it would be about 2.40 in resort aswell. I was starting to regret ordering it, anyway got a phone call today to say they have cancelled the order as the bank had declined to pay the funds, rang the bank and they said as it was such a large amount paid out online they stopped the funds. But actually I feel quite lucky.

When I left the resort yesterday the rate was 2.45 to the £ in the corner shop.
One tip when buying your currency in resort is get it before a Friday as it usaly drops for the weekend and rises up again on Monday.

We changed money in the bank in Marmaris on 2 occassions last week, while the exchange rate was 2.45 in the resort, we got 2.50 in the bank and 2.51 in the same bank the following day with no commission.

I'd dream of getting 2.7 like in the old days.

but if buying in England 2.45 the most, Icmeler from a supermarket going to 2.50. Have never bought it from a bank so dont know.

and of course if it keeps rising by August i'll be happy dont want a repeat of the 2.05 i got last August, that was bad.

Bought £100 worth on Saturday from post office and got 2.41 to the pound, which was more than my bank were offering.

Interbank rate opened yesterday at about 2.554, it dropped last night to 2.539 and it currently dropped again to 2.513 following the report on the UK economy.

Today the best rate in the UK is 2.48 from Thomas Exchange Global, I used them last week, ordered on line, made an internet bank transfer which cleared 3 days later money delivered before 1pm the following day. You have a choice when ordering to secure the exchange rate at the time of ordering or taking the daily rate.

i reckon it will be 2.47 when we go in 4 weeks..thats what we got last week from a well known travel agent..yesterday it had dropped to 2.38
