As JT has already stated - there is a big difference between a forecast and an actual report - but hey, what does it matter? It's Icmeler, it's sunny, sometimes there is a bit of a breeze (which makes it all the more pleasant) and occasionally there is an odd shower or two in May. There are also lots of places you can sit inside as well as outside, where you can buy a woolie pullie should the need arise and where you can buy a higher factor suncream if that need should arise also.

Last year I sat in Icmeler looking at a thermometer and at the BBC weather - I can guarantee you that the BBC wasn't accurate, but then again, it's just a forecast

Anyway it's probably time we let this thread get back to being a daily weather update.

Has been a laugh though!

The nearest weather station to Icmeler is at Dalaman so any forecast, even though it may say Icmeler, will refer to that and temperatures quoted are always 'In the shade'. John usually states that the temperature he quotes is 'In the sun' and a quick look at his thermometer photos will show that.

I don't think anyone is going to complain about an average of 26c 'In the shade' in May!

Temperature in resort is always hotter than what is forecast on websites, all the temperature guages in Icmeler and Marmaris are showing in the 30's minimum. At the end of the day the weather is dryer and hotter than the UK so just look forward to your holiday.

Ok back to the serious stuff of the weather

Today is feeling very sweaty and I think we have rain coming in the next few days

Not much of a breeze about and there are also a few clouds here and there with it being very hazy out to sea

Temperature in the sun at 38 degrees

I am off into Marmaris in a little while and will pick up another thermometer so I can also give the temperatures in the shade

Well it was nice and sunny at 10am and now the sky is full of clouds and wehave had a spot of rain

A bit cooler today because of the cloud cover but will pass hopefully 23 degrees in the square
