I am also flying on 3rd September and no, you most definitely will NOT need your brolly.

The first 2 weeks in September are always hot hot hot, you will not even need a cardi by night :D

We always go the first 2 weeks in October, but this year we are not going until the 8th. I have never had to use an umbrella in October although there is a risk of a heavy rain/thunder storm, but they dont last long and are fantastic and magical to watch. The weather is usually gorgeous in the daytime, but an occassional evening you might need a cardie. I love it, its my favourite time of the year in Icmeler.

last year we went on the 18 sept, and had a glorious 2 days, then the most fantastic storm, and some drizzly days...the locals did say it was not usual to have that kind of weather in sept, it is usually lovely..

Overall the weather in late September is great its still nice and hot and better than July - August as you can spend longer sun bathing as it is more bearable. There could be one or two days when you may get a shower of rain but not a lot and on some evenings feel just a little chilly.
Our brolly stays in the hand lugage bag so it is always available if required. Most times it is not.

I know what you mean about that rain, it was terrential wasnt it. We went for a night out in Marmaris and the rain canopy struggled to cope with it as it was so heavy. We were asked to go inside where they would continue the show,
