Hairdresser in Icmeler

Postby Madhatter » 20 Aug 2009 11:33

Hello everyone

I am going to Icemeler on 28th August for 2 weeks and will be staying at the Kapmar Hotel.

this is my first visit to Icemeler, as I have spent last couple of visits to turkey in Olu Deniz.

I would like to get my hair coloured and cut while I am there, so I wondered if any of you can recommend a good hairdresser who preferably can understand english.

I am also interested in getting a manicure pedicure so any recommendations for this would be good to.

Really looking forward to getting away from it all and its less than 2 weeks away.

Thanks for any advise you can give.

There is a hairdresser right next door to the Kapmar in the square which is really good - again can't remember the name. There is a beauticans on the Tansas road - follow the road from the Kapmar up to the main road, head right and it is on the left hand side. It's next door to a bag shop.

They do mani's and pedi's and are very reasonable.

The missus really likes Sebastians - 3 doors from Three bells. In the past she has had various cuts and swears every time that it's better than back home. She has had her nails done and has even used them to blow dry and style before going out for the night - saves doing it herself..

For the first time this year I had my hair cut and coloured in Icmeler and was really impressed. Went to the 'Excellent' salon across from Romeo and Juliets (just up from Dream 3 Bells) - 'Little Turk' owns it but his real name is Suat Goturk I think - lovely man. We had actually gone in for my husband to have a shave and I ended up having hair cut and coloured and a pedicure... he ended up with a shave, massage, ear/nose/eyebrow wax and a facial! (Told him not to get any ideas like that when we get home :) ) Cost us about £45 in total for all that which I thought was an excellent price.

The one past devamli and then past florida and few shops is VIP hairdressers they also do manicures/pedicures/eyebrows not had hair cut here mum has and again reckons they do a much better job here than at home. Woman who does manicures/acrylic nails etc is lovely doesn't speak much english but a great job each time. It is always really busy couple of times we've had to wait which means you get to see them at work before its your turn and everyone always happy when they leave :)

I agree with you Andrea! VIP are just the best and Beyhan (the lady who does manicures etc) does a fantastic job and is always so friendly. Had my hair done there many times and am always pleased with it. Friends also had their hair done by the barber and were happy. Definetly recommend it.

My daughter and myself regularly use Beyond the Fringe on the main road next door to the bag shop. My daugher has had her hair cut & coloured several times and has always been delighted. I usually stick to just a wash & blow dry but have always been delighted with the results. We have also had manicures/pedicures there and again were very happy with the results. The staff in there are so friendly - the last time we were invited to join them for their meal which they were eating during a quiet spell in the shop.

Hiya all,

Like mum, Kelebeck1966, said I have been using Beyond The Fringe for about 4 years now. Up until January this year I had long ginger hair. Mehmet always did an amazing job at making me look very blonde with a full head of highlgihts. My hair used to be mid-back length & for a full head of highlight he would charge me £25.00. I pay more than that for a wash, cut & blow dry back home.

I now have very short red hair. On my birthday in May Mehmet did my hair again. He put the box of hair dye I had taken with me as well as bright red & black highlights. At the same time I had a pedicure & he styled my hair amazingly. All for a lovely £45.00. I felt like a rock star on my birthday!

My plan is to have pillar box red all over in October & I will be returning to beyond the fringe for my hair make over once again. You wont be able to miss me if you are there in October!

Cant wait 36 sleeps & counting!

xxx

Hi Guys

I too was contemplating having my hair coloured when i arrive in Icmeler but was unsure about having it done abroad. Beyond the Fringe sounds just my kinda place as i have weird and wonderful colours. Could you please tell me where i can find them? Ive never been to Icmeler before so im a total novice but sure i will find it with decent directions
Thank you in advance

Beyond the Fringe is on the main road close to the Babadan Hotel. If you leave the square where ICR offices are and head up to the main road, turn right and you will find it on the right hand side of the road. If you get as far as the corner with Akbank you have gone too far. Hope this helps.
