Frustrated

Postby redrhino12 » 05 Aug 2008 17:38

We go to Icmeler on Sunday evening, arriveing in the resort of Icmeler around 8am on the Monday morning.
Why am I frustrated you may ask,
The same old saga that we go through every time we go on holiday.

I cant get the cases out of the loft untill Friday.
Plenty of time she says to pack 3 cases in 3 days.
Were is the wifes sense of excitement as I sit on the edge of the bed telling her what to pack for me and dont forget the toothbrushes and paste.
Packing is part of the holiday and I think should be spread over at least 3 weeks moveing the cases round the bedroom as needed.

On a better note I have just got my bum bag out of the cupboard and in it have come accross 700 YTL about 3 hundred pound  .
Her indoors didnt know that was there

This was given to me on the morning of our return in June and I had forgotten all about it (money I was owed).

Still got to send her down to the Post Office tomorrow so she can get £50 worth of Ytl to get us over the first few hours.
Dont want her to get any inkling of my little stash.
That will keep me in a few Efes as I walk round the village and I wont have to keep asking her for some spends.
I will just tell her that I am not bothered about drinking so wont need any money.

None of this would come about if she would just let me get those cases out of the loft

For those who dont know "she" is Mrs Gene alias Ann my wife who I let be in charge most days.

I agree with you Gene at the excitement of packing. I have not started yet, but I dont leave until October 3rd, so I will give it a few more weeks and start preparing - hear that Bec?

Why dont you send Ann for a pampering session somewhere and sneakily get the cases out of the loft.....

Have a great time once you do start your packing, and obviously have a wonderful time in Icmeler.

Hahahaa oh Geney boy i have missed these posts
Your the same as my dad-has to ask for money (of course he tells mum to mind the money)

Hahah Mary-you will be so happy to know-once back in July all clothes were washed and put back in case-exception to those i didnt need...so all left to do is iron and back in case.
Although going shopping tomorrow-so case may fill up a bit.

Gene i hope i get to see you this visit-cant believe i didnt see you! :o

Colette:- Due respect will be shown to that sunset.
Mary:- I am not sure 700ytl will cover a full pampering session.
Eric:-5ytl is nearly 3 pints at Sugars Buffalo Bar.
Bec:=Must bump into you this time as we are going for three weeks, tell your dad that this time he needs to pay for some of those roses your mum keeps getting off the rose man.

My case has been out for a week, i go 3 weeks today, all the beach towels, vest tops etc have been taken out the case washed and put back in. I've been shopping the last couple of days for a few new things to wear but have not been very successful as most of it has gone back to the shops.

Will start the ironing maybe next week and hang in one of the spare rooms until nearer the time.

I got my e-tickets for my flights today so the countdown has really begun.

Those pesky suitcases. we've got 2 in our bedroom and the ironing board at the moment and 2 more cases floating around the kids bedrooms . I have no intention of even packing my stuff till Saturday. Hubby would have had it all packed 3 weeks ago if I let him.

So now I cant find any clothes and the kitchens a building site literally bare brick walls, wires hanging off the ceiling that sort of thing.

so chaos all round, but hey I dont care. lol.

Gene as you're arriving on Monday I'll be at Manchester airport waiting for the 10am onur air flight. We wont get to Dalaman till 16.30 ish if there's no delays.

Happy days, and 2 1/2 working days left to suffer. I dont count weekends or sleeps cos they fly by anyway. !!

Roll on Monday

I'm exactly the same as you Jula, all clothes from suitcase washed, ironed and put back in. Have been shopping for fun and have already had to eliminate cos I've got too much. Got my e-tickets yesterday so that makes it all so real now, and only 20 sleeps too. Maybe be lucky enough to meet Gene at long last, I'll tour his haunts and seek him out, but as I only arrive 27 August only have a few days to do this before he goes home.
