A dolmus is the local transport bus which is used to get around all over the resorts across turkey. Wherever you are staying these run on the main road routes and all you have to do is put out your hand and they will take you directly to marmaris if your staying in icmeler. In icmeler the dolmus buses you need have an orange strip down the side of them, you look for these striped buses when returning from marmaris also. The blue striped buses will take you into the armutaln districts of Marmaris these you can catch when you are in Marmaris.
They run frequently up until approximately 1am in the morning and were not to so long along 1.75ytl. Hope this helps.

Hi Womble

Dolmus is the local public transport and looks like our mini buses!! They are very cheap about 1.75ytl and will stop anywhere you want, you can either use the bus stops or put your arm out and they will stop for you. I don't think I have any pictures but I'll have a look!!

DOLMUS TO and FROM

I understand that the word Dolmus means "stuffed", and yes, they do
get stuffed too. Not too bad if you're not going far.

Whoops Sorry that was huge again. Help me out somebody. I'm putting in 640x480 for message boards . Should I be doing it from thumbnails or just using a different size? :?

Think I took that photo after one too many myself! Gene must be asleep at the mo to let you get away with that one!! Think I will go back and have a look at photobucket, it may click with them this time round but I was really struggling with them at first that's why I switched to imageshack :)
