Icmeler Update

Just a quick note that Captain Bulls**t restraunt will be moving to where Set restraunt was just past the square towards the main road on the right.

I'm not sure if Set has moved somewhere else or if it has closed all together, also the restraunt is now owned by Ahmet and Jimmy.

The Alinda, Blue Rainbow, Kapmar and Altin Orfe are under going a refurbishment. The old Heat and Breeze next to Vinces has been demolished and some shops with private aparts above being built. Vince is also having some interesting works going on, I believe he has the bag shop that was next door and is opening the kitchen up so you can see the chef and extending his restraunt area.

The Bonjour is also having another floor added.

Ha ha, I'm bored so just thought I'd start a topic! Only just found out about Captains

Eatock08 thanks for the info.We stay at the Varol and use Captain Bulls for breakie and snacks and have been doing so for years.I wonder why they have moved ? This is the biggest gamble they must have taken,most of the regulars being 50+ years old and used to seeing Jimmy,Mel,Skinny Rambo etc in the usual place and i wonder if they will go looking for the new place.
Also Eatock08 is Ahmet the chef from last year ?

Yes Ahmet is the chef from last year, I'm not sure you will see Mel, she and Ali will be working in the excursions shop and are opening a second one. Not sure why they have moved to be honest but I hope all their regulars will find them

Hi there Great to hear the Kapmar is getting a make over, stayed there a few years ago and it did look sorry for itself. We are staying there in June, hope the work has been completed, do you know if it is the rooms or just a main building overhall.

As far as I know it's the whole of the reception area, dining area and outside bar area. Peli should be back in Icmeler soon and I'm sure he will update us on the progress when he can.

As far as we have heard only the doors have been changed on the rooms.
last year half of them had new wardrobes fitted.
The whole of the ground floor has been gutted.
We are also there in June
We arrive on the 17th for 14-glorious days and nights.
Cant wait
119 days to go

I think Peli is due back this afternoon and will re-start his updates soon

The Kapmar is going to be busy this year we go back for the 6th time also in June 11-24 Murat has not put any new pic's on his face book yet of the updating.Also not to far walk to Captain Buxxxxxt just across the road.

Thanks for the info on the Kapmar, June does look to be busy we arrive on th 7th for two fantastic weeks and my son and his girlfriend arrive on the 14th for a week. So excited its been 3 years since we have been so looking forward to seeing all the changes. Roll on June.

Hiya, not quite sure yet. From what I've heard it's the rooms that are having a make over. Some of the fixtures that were in the rooms are now outside to be thrown so assume new is going in.

Just waiting for more news on it
