I have never been to Zaza's bar however people do speak highly of it and I would assume that this will be a busy bar. Now if Zaza may not be opening next year, is this due to rising costs, AI where will this leave some of the quieter bars

I hope you do decide to open a new bar next year ZaZa,we had some of our best nights in your bar this year.
To us you are Icmeler and the place wouldnt be the same without an "Havana Bar"

Stewart I very much doubt it has to do with rising costs but I would imagine that it has a lot to do with "cheap" tourists who are looking for a bucket of the cheapest beer that could be labeled as Efes when it isn't and Zaza has always refused to sell it

Hahahaha Fee you know me better than that I think

I know you don't drink but you spend a fortune on soft drinks and I also know Eric doesn't drink that much booze

I think I may have put it that was what was happening at Zazas when I meant to answer Stewarts question about all the quieter bars

I love all tourists whatever money they care to spend as it doesn't make a difference to our company if you are staying in the cheapest place in the area or the most expensive, you will all get the same care and attention as each other but..............

I am there all year don't forget and for some reason ALL bar, restaurant, tea shop, cake shop, shoe shop , bag shop etc seems to think that I have a never ending chasm inside of me to take in all their moans about cheap, skint, tight, or no tourists going in their premises and not spending money.

I never hear them go on and on when I see them earning money though

One thing I will say is that in all the years I have known Zaza he has never ever complained about cheap or any tourist not visiting him in his bar.

Salt of the earth he is and in my eyes always will be and I will also add to this thread that if he leaves Icmeler it wont be the same, something like the ravens leaving the Tower of London

Well said JT, I love Zaza and Spider and I really hope that Zaza can find somewhere else to trade from next year. I for one went to Havana bar nearly every night last year in all my visits and I just love it in there. Zaza is one of the most genuine guys I know out in Icmeler (apart from you JT) and in September when I couldn't get my money out of the bank he was willing to lend me as much as I needed. I am very sad right now that Havana will not be opening again but there hopefully is a glimmer of hope.
Zaza, I miss you guys already. Please please please keep us all updated on any progress of the all new Havana Bar. :D :( :D

John, could you, or are you allowed to name the bars that sell the cheap ****?

I'll take a personal message if you don't want to post

I also saw on FB that Zaza will be in the Ida this year. It's a shame that there will no longer be a Havana Bar. Personally, I refuse to spend my cash in three places - one of which is the Ida - so will have to be content with a quick chat with Zaza when I pass by.

Hopefully he will find a bar of his own next year

Patsie there may be a lot of people with your same thoughts

Jambo just read between the lines on all the signs

Large bottle Efes 5 lira, Draught 3.5 lira

Does it say Draught Efes

Personally I would rather have a bottle of Tuborg Gold
