Manchester Departures

Postby TIMUK » 04 Aug 2006 22:06

Just clocking them and so far so good, well last week the Monarch flight left dead on 23.30 and it's looking good for tonights departure :D

Not like last year were I paid extra to fly 3 hours earlier on a Jumbo and the idiot pilot missed his slot so we flew 3 hours later

We went on this flight on 21/7 returned on 5/8. Both outgoing and return were on time. Although we didn't pay for a meal we were given one. Lets hope they stay on time for your flight. Di.

Timuk, have been with several companies and have never booked a meal with any of them but have always been offered one. I have quite a few friends who have also never paid for meals but have always got one. I do feel sorry for people who have paid thought, they could have saved themselves £12 each. We always have a meal at the airport on the way out just incase we don't get any food and pack sarnies on the way back and crisps etc (always best to be prepared, I was in the Brownies you know). I am sure you will have a good flight and a great holiday. Di. 8)

Latest update given the recent events regarding Manchester airport as of 4.41 of today

All flights are being severely delayed.

But the only flights from the airport to have been cancelled are those BMI and BA flights destined for Heathrow.

All other flights are operating with delays of between 40-90 minutes. There are large queues to get through security, so passengers are advised to arrive as early as possible.

Shops have been closed in the departure lounge because of luggage restrictions.

An airport spokesman said: "It's as normal as it can be under the circumstances. Passengers should travel as normal, expect some disruption and follow the instructions we are giving them."

Virgin Trains said it was accepting passengers with airline tickets between Manchester and London.

Emma is gutted that she can't buy her perfume on the way out but she realises the safety aspect.

Well done to the Police and Security Service's for making our flights safer.

Enquirer thankyou for the update
