Funny things that happen on the transfer to resort

[Not the weakest link]

Some incidents we've had happen to us getting to the transfer or resort. Some weren't funny at the time but we laugh about now.

ICR driver - nice sweet man stopped at roadside stall and bought some figs offered us one, had to take them out of politeness they weren't very nice.

Me decided to feel faint on way to ICR transfer bus the driver pulled 2 cases for us, I was looking greener by the second but then air con got going in the taxi had some nice cold water and recovered... during that holiday I developed Diabetes so assume thats why I felt faint.

And 2 words Travel sick = now take spare set of clothes for youngest daughter (now 14) and dont travel without homeopathic pressure point wrist bands.

Daughters and friends who cant pull suitcases and end up with suitcase dong a full 360 and tripping up.

Clutch going and slipping on taxi transfer last year (non ICR), we were praying that the clutch kept going luckily it did.

No doubt you all have some funny moments.

Not really any amazing stories.
One transfer, we were stopped by the police about 4 times IIRC. They must have been having a crackdown.

The other one - perhaps this just tickled my personal sense of humour - the driver was going hell for leather to overtake an already fast moving truck. After at long last being able to get past, 20 seconds later, he pulled into a filling station. I mean........why bother

at Leevi and Sheepy. Or its trying to overtake while going up the steepest hill whilst doing 20mph and hearing the gears groaning.

Another one i remembered our first time ever to Turkey going to Olu was on transfer bus and it went through Fetiye and past Calis beach. coach is stopped at traffic lights in a town so we're gaping out the window and the kids were in stitches because there was a donkey and 2 chickens stood in the middle of a side road loooking like they were having a good old natter.

It was so wierd because the main road was at the end of this side street. Such a contrast, unfortunately couldnt get the camera out in time to take a pic.

Not so funny but amazing oneone of our fist visits to Turkey about 18 years ago just as we boarded our coach Dalaman to get to Icmeler our driver got shot [not badly injured] but Turkish police being Turkish police trying to keep things moving got a man of a tractor and made him drive the coach to Icmeler.
