hiya :)
welcome to the forum glad you have decided to join
the price of drinks in the bars from the UK is about the same price you would pay in the UK for a drink or slightly less in some places
there is a big tax for the owners on import drinks so thats why the prices are almost the same so not that cheap unfortunately
hope this helps

If by UK drinks, you mean recognised brand names such as Smirnoff vodka, Gordons gin and so on, then you will pay a lot more because of the import taxes. We tend to stick to the local stuff, which we find okay by us. For instance, where you might pay 7 lira for local spirits, you might have to pay 11 or 12 for the "brand" name equivalent.

Don't forget that you normally get double the measure of a UK drink in Turkey so also take this into consideration regarding the price.

So a Bacardi and Coke at 10 Lira is £4 which as said is the same price in the UK.

I cant say I have noticed large measures in Icmeler, I must be drinking in the wrong places. Half the time I ask them for a top up of vodka

My wife has frequently asked for more sprite or soda in order to dilute her drink further as she says they are too strong, howvever this is at the places we have frequented over a number of years.

yeah i do actually find that in the bars the drinks are stronger than in the UK
but in the clubs they are weaker which is understandable they are trying to make more money

They are bloody strong haha i ordered a vodka and coke from florida and when it came it was nearly clear; could see through the glass...not much coke in there atall!!! had to order another coke and keep topping it up

The local vodka is probably cheaper than the coke, fanta, sprite ect. so they give u less mixer and more spirit!! not that I am complaining...keep it up guys
