Oscars Pop In Restaurant, Kayabal Street, Icmeler

Postby Laura » 26 May 2006 13:10

A great recommendation from all on our holiday. This restaurant / bar was lovely - full of the kindest, friendliest and warmest staff we met during our fortnight's stay. All the staff were fantastic with adult and younger tourists alike, had endless patience with our attempts at Turkish language and the food was sublime and mystical in it's sumptiousness. It is one of the few places where the stunningly handsome waiters danced after meal service for fun and didn't look bored like they did elsewhere. They were very funny. Check out Omer's dancing and Yusuf's balancing of stuff on his head! They will serve you until you are ready to leave and nothing is too much trouble. Oscar is a star. Can't wait to go back. I came home to rain and work, but I very much left my soul in Icmeler. They're better than ice cream! :D

Have to agree, Pop-Inn to Oscars is a must. I have known Oscar from OB's - Waterfall/Oscars and now Pop-Inn and once again the place has a certain something??. From the 99p Full English to the late night Vodka and diet coke on the comfy sofas, from Oscar playing 'long-jump' with the children in the morning to the great relaxed but fun atmosphere in the evening & everything in-between. The staff are excellent and go out of their way to make sure you have a good time, and yes the dancing is more spontanous than some places and very entertaining especially break-dancing from the Shayne Ward look-Alike!!

Anyone goes in there, tell them I said HI, can't wait to go back. Am spending my nights here in cold, wet EDIT wishing I was back on those comfy sofas consuming that vodka and being extremely jealous of those that are doing that right now! :(

Margaret, Oscars is on the corner facing the old carpet place underneath the bella mare hotel.

So the street in question is the one the bus from Marmaris comes along and passes the cheap chinese

Just got back from another amazing two weeks in Icmeler our second home.Wishing Oscar and all his staff every success in his new bar the pop inn.It has to be the best breakfast in Icmeler and believe me we have tried a few.The staff cant do enough for you especially Ali.The bar is very comfortable and friendly and will be superb for the world cup wish we could be there. Thanks for the watering can Oscar but I did want a blue one.We will be back in August and October with a group of excellent drinking partners so get the english bacon and sausages on but we do insist on turkish tomatoes.
