Idas?

Postby juneflo » 22 Jul 2006 22:18

Hi Kath,
Don't know about the Idas except it's a great position - it you look at the icmeleronline webcam on the opening page - the Idas is to your left - a few metres in fact. The Metropol is opposite and I have stayed there. It was refurbished during the summer so if you read any reports look for 2006 season as to be honest whilst it was OK last year it's much improved this year. There's a new play area for kids, a small tennis court and revamped inside bar area too which seemed much more lively this year (my uncle stayed there in June and I visited him). Both hotels are good locations if you want to be near the sea, bars and restaurants. Have a great holiday.

I did stay in the Idas about 3 years ago, can't comment on the food as I never ate there but the rooms are very nice, they were just refurbishing them when we were there and they were nice enough before but they were lovely when they'd finished. the rooms are spacious and have very thick curtains which was handy after a late night and they also kept the rooms cool, as I said it was 3 years ago so may have changed but I would stay there again!

Yes. We stayed at the Idas last year and we thought it was so good, we wanted to stay there again but we got a cheap package and fell lucky last year because when we looked at the normal prices to stay there this year, it was double what we actually paid. We went bed and breakfast, and there was everything you could think of on the tables. The rooms were big and clean and the receptionists were great. There wern't many English staying here though but that didnt bother us as we just used our room and had our breakfast, then we were out most of the time. I must say, the breakfasts were the one of the best we have had in Turkey and we have been about 28 times. :D
