Not got pics, but we can say The Dilhan is a lovely, small & friendly hotel, the pool is nice and secluded - we have stayed here numerous times and sometimes it feel as though you have the pool to yourselves (depending what time of year you are visiting)
The breakfasts are the traditional turkish but you can pay extra for a cooked one if you wish.
The rooms were nice and clean all the times we were there, air conditioning is available to hire as is the safe boxes and the staff are nice - Oz the bar man is brilliant, he is a pure entertainer - you can not find a better person to serve you drinks - he will keep you smiling with all his jokes in his little joke book!!!
The Dilhan is well located with only a short walk to the beach and close to all the shops, bars and restaurants of Icmeler.
You have made a good choice in The Dilhan - we are in Icmeler in May and so will be making a stop off to see Oz.
Have a nice holiday. 8)

I agree. The Dilhan is a lovely little hotel. Ok , it's not the Ritz but we feel we had areally good holiday there. I will see if I have any photos of the pool area. Great laundry as you come out of the entrance if you want any thing doing. Great location as well.

We stayed sept just gone as prev said not the ritz but very clean and friendly with added bonus of OZ the barman ,pool is adequate and a real sunspot whilst nicely private .Best thing for me was Dilhan location in the centre of everything yet still manages to be quiet .

We stayed last June...have just put a review on for the dilhan.Really enjoyed it,fantastic location. We are beach people so thats where we spend our time.the pool is small but seemed to be clean. We were out most of the time but spent early evening and late evening at the bar.Oz is smashing and everyone seemed to get on around the bar.No hassle there at all.At the time my tipple of choice was white wine spritzer and Oz made the best ones in Icmeler!Nothing any trouble for him at all.We will see you there as we are there 22july for 2 weeks.Julie and Tony :)

Hi Julie & Tony. Thanks for your post, yes it will be nice to meet up with other people from the forum, who have been to the Dilhan before. The Missis wants to know if the DOTTO train thing goes near our hotel to take us to and from the beach? She also wants to know if the pool water is WET !! or is it nice and warm? Also are there any kind of restrictions on taking drinks and stuff into your room,as there was when we went to OLU DENIZ last year?Sorry but my wife is to excited I just cant keep her jaw from flapping at the moment, never mind I have only got another 21 or so weeks to put up with it OH BOY !!! then you can take the strain of her flapping jaw for a while.OUTCH she just smacked me round the earhole.See you in July, cant wait YIPEEEE!!!!!!

Kind regards John & Jan

The location of the Dilhan in Icmeler is good as a steady 10 minutes stroll gets you down to the beach and it only takes about the same in the other direction to get along to the Tanza supermarket. You can catch a dolmus into Marmaris from opposite Amigos which is only 200 yards away from the Dilhan and there is a first class laundry vitually next door.
The Hotel is what it says and what you pay for 2 star basic with no frills and nothing fancy, the rooms are not large but clean and I have seen smaller. It is a frequent feature that halfway through a shower just at the point when you are all soaped up the water will stop running leaving you with a problem. The lift used to play its self up and would take it upon its self to be unoperational but I think it has recently had a major overall. The pool area is small like all hotels and does not have any play space for children.
The breakfast remains the same Hard boiled eggs (white), tomatoe, feta type cheese, cucumber, olives, bread and jam plus honey.
We have stayed at the Dilhan many times over the years as it suits our needs as we are not looking for somewhere with all the added features as we would not use them. A lot of other folks must feel the same as we meet up with them time and time again at the Dilhan, there again it has been know for guest to move on to other hotels soon after arrival
We will be back at the Dilhan to see Oz and the rest of our friends towards the end of May and then again in September so if anyone happens to be passing at these times I shall most likely be sat at the end of the bar with my mate Arthur between 6 - 7:30 pm putting the world to rights over a couple of efes so introduce yourself.
As a footnote at these times of the year the water in the swimming pool is on the icy side of the scale but then a hot pool does not cool you down, ahhh lovely....enjoy

Thanks for that John, you'll not miss me when I arrive. I'm a bit larger than the average male.

Just a thought. Was discussing this with my other half a while ago. How many of the Dilhan regulars would return year after year if Oz retired from the hotel. Answers on a postcard...........................
