Hello all ,
we went to jimmys okimo earlier on this month as we were also staying at the Efes inn and it is opposite the front of the
hotel .
I have two girls aged 10 and 14 and they can be a bit funny about the food but on that night in Jimmys he told us that he would cook them anything they wanted , just the way they like it ie not spicey or without certain veg. He also apologised upfront for the time it took to arrive as he explained every thing was cooked from fresh and nothing was kept warmed for future use . That was fine by us and it gave us a little time for a couple of bottles of Efes and we watched coronation street on the big tv screens in the bar .I have to say the food was spot on and the service excellent but i could not help feeling a little sorry for Jimmy and his family as we were the only family in for a good two hours and it just makes you wonder if this and other bars like it can sustain this very quiet time in
Icmeler . It would be a shame if they were to go out of business but you could see walking around the town that some of the smaller places may not be there for many more seasons . I hope I am wrong as we will be back for our fourth visit next year .
