Didn't see any new apartments built beside cafe rose. To find cafe rose go along the dry canal (walking away from icmeler - at pop inns) and its on the left hand side just before you get to the bridge where cars can go over - not footbridges. Theres signs on the lamp posts. Mind you it was august since i've been there so they might be fast builders

Cheers John

I will just give a bit more info on Johns post as it was August when he was last there and may have forgotten a little.

From where the Pop Inn was and now Dia supermarket is walk into village along route of dry canal until you get to the first bridge on left.

Cross this bridge and go slightly left and take first right up a narrow lane and Cafe Rose is on your right.

There was no building going on there in October so you may be thinking of the Baba Sahin apartments which have been there for many years

I think you are spot on with that one John (Iam no expert ).

To the left over the first bridge over the dry canal.

Cafe Rose is top of our list for 2010.

Sorry admin - my directions where a bit rusty but was in the right vacinity :D

Cafe rose is fantastic and they have extended it to the front with a kind of bar come seating area, but we prefered sitting in the garden area. They have put new toilets in (aug 09) as it was a bit funny walking into her house to use the loo

The food is fantastic, all homemade and cheap too and the your guaranteed a warm welcome. The food was served by her son who also works on the families (uncles) boat. Fish is always fresh :D

I put some photos on a while ago in the photo section.

Cheers John

we also prefered the shaded sitting area.... with the heat of the day this was the best choice.

It was our first visit to cafe Rose.. ( 2009 )....and as such I dont know if the seating area is better than 2008.

Like I said .. Top of the list for 2010.
