Speaking da lingo

Postby Hector » 14 Feb 2010 20:24

None of us speak a word of Turkish. Will this be a problem in Icmeler & Marmaris?

Is there a list of useful words anywhere?

Won't be a problem whatsoever - almost everyone speaks very good English indeed, although they love it if you at least attempt a few words in Turkish. I'm sure there was a thread on here at some point with some useful words - merhaba means hello, and even that goes down well with folk! I'm sure someone else might be able to point you in the direction of some other helpful words - Turkish is quite a hard language to learn, but a few simple words are very much appreciated, even if they might have fun at your attempts with pronunciation! It all helps to break the ice... :D
