From what I saw, it was only men who had to do the strip.

Well we all know what you men are like

We flew back this morning, and we took 3 litre bottles to the airport with us, and had no problems taking them on the plane which was a god send :)

The signs were all over regarding October 2010, and i can only presume that they were to do with the enforcement date.

It's like the No Smoking signs in the restaurants, visited one and we were told that there were no smoking tables available, said we would go somewhere else but were told we could smoke anywhere we liked, there were signs everywhere saying NO SMOKING but evryone was.

just came home this morning from alanya
went through antalya airport this morning and they have the liquid restrictions in place and have done since 3rd april 2009
you dont get anything taken off you when you first go into the airport but when you go through your gate they take everything off you even water or drinks you have paid a fortune for in the airport
a few people werent too happy and i can imagine why
they were being very strict with it and its only a matter of time before dalaman is the same

Looks like it is official. The dreaded liquid restrictions are in place, it is on Dalamans airport website saying the restrictions are now in place. Looks like we will die of thirst or have to give into Dalaman airports greedy food and drink prices.

I think we will still be ok as duty free is being put in sealed bags so I think the security point is at the gate and not before,

It won't be long before someone gives us all the info as I think their are a few people going there in the coming weeks.

when i went through antalya in october the liquid restrictions were put in place there
but it was ok going through the first set of security when you arrived at the airport before you checked in
it was the security check when you go through to your boarding gate that they were getting people to leave their food and drinks behind even if it had been bought in the airport
if this is the case with dalaman then you wont have to buy the stuff at those expensive prices it will just be that you have to purchase anything you need on the plane :)
