Hi,

Everywhere usually starts opening as April goes on - restaraunts and hotels alike. The weather will be decent in May but not as hot as it is in July and August. I'd say around the 25-30s area. You'll still get a tan though!

If you were to book in May, I'd put a couple of cardies in the case just on the off chance it gets a bit nippy in the evening!

at temps like those, you're very likely to get a better tan than in July/Aug when it can be a little TOO hot ............

that sounds like a plan nikkic
and if you time your visits just right, you may well get a couple of trips to every visa - I love it when the visa has loads of stamps on it - sad or what!!

very true
and do let us know how you go on in both Istanbul and Icmeler in May/June

we usually go in August and occasionally in October
we've never tried May though and I do wonder how gutted I'd be at leaving as the place is getting busier and hotter .......
October's easy, it feels right coming home as it's getting cooler by the day and a lot of places are closing up for winter

hehehe, make the most of the cheap hols while you can
can't believe that my youngest was 14 yesterday and that the first time we went to icmeler she was only 6 or 7!
this is the last year I could realistically take her out of school for a hol as she starts her GCSE years in Sept 10, so maybe I should think about making the most of it and having a cheeky week in Icmeler with her in May?!
it wouldn't be tooooo hard for us to leave, as we've already got our flights booked for 2/8/10!
