Is there a dolmus from Icmeler to Turunc??

Postby needaholiday » 21 Sep 2009 06:09

We were planning on going to the beach at Turunc for a day when we visit next week.

Although we have been to Icmeler many times before we are not too sure if there is a dolmus service from Icmeler to Turunc?

Can anyone advise?

Let us know where you are staying and we will advise

In that case you need to catch the bus up to the village from across the road from the Demircioglu at the Elvis bar.

Tell them to put you off at the Stonehouse and you can get the Turunc bus from there.

Suppose it's better than having to walk up it though! :D

Hi

We were in Icmeler over week ago and took water taxi to Turunc, It rained heavily and when we headed back for water boat i refused to get on cos im a scardey cat and the gangway was like a thin strip of metal drifting away from pier and nothing to hold on to, so got dolmus back from Turunc, and because of weather roads were slippy and really scary experience, so if you are not of faint heart then dolmus cost 5 lira one way and waterboat was 15 lira, dolmus drops you at far end of icmeler close to market area.

Thanks for all your helpful comments.

I think we shall take the water taxi. Dolmus is scary enough at the best of times without throwing a dodgy road into the equation. :P
