Sea & pools in October

Postby Beeky49 » 18 Sep 2009 14:27

Hi Newbie here
It's been 10years since we've been to Icemeler. We've only been in August before when it has been very hot.We are coming on 27th September for 14 days staying at the Aqua. We couldn't think of anywhere better to celebrate my 60th. Will we notice much difference in Icemeler after 10 years and is it warm enough to go in the sea or hotel pool? Can't wait, counting down the days now!

We went the end of September last year and the hotel pool was freezing didn't venture into the sea but I have heard people say it tends to be warmer than the pools at that time of year.

Have a fab Birthday what a lovely way to spend it.

Pools do tend to get a bit chilly toward end of sept...all depends on where the sun is! If the pool area is getting sun all day then the pool should be fine but if it's in the shade by 2pm then always test with a toe before you dive in haha

the sea is warmer as it has the heat of the whole season in it and therefore the water is warmer
whereas the pools are cooler as the water is changed all the time
would recommend going to the beach
hope this helps

Hope you have a great birthday, katie - we'll be there the same time, so if we see a crowd of birthday girls, we'll be sure to say hi! :)

And katiehutchison, at least you've managed a couple of trips to Icmeler this year, which has got to be better than nothing...you'll just have to focus on all the memories from those trips until your next time.
