We a some lovely meals in Barons. I know some of you have issues with this restaurant, we were made most welcome and it was always busy when we went. But the service was excellent, as was the food.

Haha, will give you a laugh now. I have NEVER eaten in Barons or the new name that it is now (cant remember, had a couple of vodkas) but June this year we were waiting for a couple of friends who were in a hotel in Armutulan, we were on our way home from Marmaris to Icmeler and we jumped off the dolmus as we had a text to say they were on their way to meet us in Marmaris, and we went into the first bar for a drink while waiting. Anyway, the waiter got into conversation (as they do) and here I am saying we were in an apartment in Icmeler and that is why I wouldnt eat in this particular restaurant in Marmaris that night, and he told me to eat in Barons (still forget new name) but I was explaining I wouldnt eat in Barons because the guy on the front was so ignorant and hurtful to people passing, so that I wouldnt go into Barons because of the guy on the door who is so ignorant, etc etc, and I am sitting there thinking that he resembles somebody - he only turned around and said that it was his cousin/brother - cant remember what the connection was now. I stood my ground and said that until he changed his attitude I wouldnt go to Barons.

Anyway, had a good laugh with this waiter in Marmaris anyway

Vince's,Valentinos, preferred the Taj Mahal in Marmaris, gave the Loveboat a try for the 1st time, despite it being a little dearer we enjoyed it,so much, that the wife wants to have her 50th there next year. When all said and done we enjoyed most places, but one place I will not return to is the Waterfall, yes,it has a lovely setting especially in the evening when the lights come on ,found the food was nothing to write home about, but what did it for me was when it came time for pudding we asked for a banana boat the waiter said "they hadn't got time to make one",it would have been better if he had said they had run out of bananas, but to just come out with what he said I thought was really poor service.

Hi reesy and ochlynda

Change its name again this year now called bar23 had an excellent 3 course set meal in there in August for 19.50TL included any stake service was also excellent
If you can get over the man at the front (we have never had a problem with him always treats us well) then am sure you would enjoy your meal there

We had a really bad experience with him, won't go into details as I feel there has been enough said about this man/ place except to say that him and our Niamhs disabled buggy didn't see eye to eye. So unless he moves I am afraid we will be giving this place a wide berth.

Their yam yam chicken is to die for real melt in your mouth stuff . Our lot were disappointed with their Sunday Roasts this year. Must admit they didn't look that great all yorkshire pudding and very little of anything else.

We joked about the name....No 23 in neon over the entrance, Valentino's on the hoardings and Barons on the shirts of the staff.

The man outside was known to us as "Baron Valentino the 23rd"

We found him a very pleasant, if forceful character. But he was great to us and we enjoyed the food and service.

This restaurant and Florida were our favourites.
