Healthfood place near Canal

Postby Susi1962 » 09 Sep 2009 19:05

Hi - hoping someone can help. A friend at work has asked me to pick up some "rose oil" for her (like Vaseline in consistency but with rose oil in it) as she swears it helps her son's eczema better than anything else. She asked me to get it from "the healthfood place" near the canal. I looked everywhere for it last time I went but couldn't find it. So - I'm wondering a) is there such a place? and b) if there is, then WHERE is it?

I have absolute confidence in all you ICR folk :D :D

Thanks!

Hi Susi,
I bought some of this in August from a shop near pop in bar, also near a watch shop. He sells turkish delight, different flavoured teas, there is a hand written notice saying "we do not hassle you" it is only a small shop, cost 20ytl. Hope this is helpful. Jan

Walk up to the canal. You'll see the taxi rank and probably the Loveboat. Turn right and keep on walking along and it's a couple of minutes walk. You should be able to notice it as it's a tiny little shop.

I believe this is the shop you're talking about. It sells Turkish Delight and different types of tea which help your body.

Hi Susi
There is also a chemist up near Sabastians barbers who sells it. Got some the other year.

Thanks folks. I spent ages last year trying to find the place from my friend's description. She said it was a "proper" shop with fixed prices, and sold the kind of stuff they sell in healthfood places. Maybe it's gone now, but at least I can find her rose oil! :)
