Quad bikes

Postby barney1uk » 25 Aug 2009 18:09

I am looking at having a go at the quad biking with my son when i go next year, however I have a couple of questions.
Is there a minimum age for driving one?
Do i need my driving licence with me?
If my son is too young (which I expect he will be at 10)would he be able to ride pillion with me on one bike?
How long does the hire/trip last for?
What is the price of this activity?

Is there a minimum age for driving one?

16

Do i need my driving licence with me?

No it's all off road

If my son is too young (which I expect he will be at 10)would he be able to ride pillion with me on one bike?

Yes

How long does the hire/trip last for?

90 Minutes plus pickup and dropoff

What is the price of this activity?

On the ICR page it's £25 per person, I think that is for one on a bike, if you are sharing I think the second person is cheaper when riding pillion. drop them an email to check.

Firstly apologies I got the age wrong.

If I remember rightly early September Sunrise is between 7.00 and 07:30 Sunset about 7pm

When we went we were picked up at 11:15 and returned about 15:00

I get concerned when I read about Quad bikes and scooters being hired out to inexperienced people who have not completed a course on how to ride and gained a license therefore lacking in the neccessary handling skills.
These vehicles are not toys and many an accompliced person has unforunately come to grief sustaining injury or even worse so please procede with caution.
