Oh just booked to go back next year! Didn't realize the smoking ban had changed icmeler that much! :( Maybe back to cuba :(

So can u smoke in places that don't have roofs??? ie Restaurants like Cavalier and waterfall? And open air bars? What about on the beach and around the pool?

Most of the bars we went to had designated seats which were not under a roof where you could smoke. You can certainly tell by which tables have ash trays on them and which dont!
Yes there were people smoking around our pool too but not inside the hotel at all unless on a balcony.
Hope this helps

Just returned yesterday, did not find it as bad as I thought. Although you cannot smoke inside, most of the places have outside seats where you can smoke. People were smoking on the beach and around swimming pools as usual, although I am a little concerned about the evenings in October when it is not as warm for sitting outside. Looks like we will have to take an extra cardie for those cooler evenings.

Hi i`ve just returned from Icmeler, I like a small ciger now and then, I always asked if it was ok to smoke and offered to go outside a couple of times.
On one occasion asking if it was ok to smoke the waiter said, "of course", I replied what happened to the smoking ban, he replied "ha ha we don`t worry about things like that"... however you usually have to ask for an ash tray ;)

Been back from Icmeler for just over a week now and to be totally honest it wasn't that obvious that there was a smoking ban in place, one bar in particular (which i won't name) had a member of staff smoking inside under a no smoking sign, must say it did make us chuckle (not that we smoke),some places are taking it more seriously than others.
