If H4u is telling you it is still going ahead then I would take there word for it. As h4u get there flights through another well known company who charter there own flights they will know wether or not they are still doing business with SAGA. Also as the tour operator hasn't gone out of business it is there responsibility to get you on another flight on the same or slightly different date, or offer you a full refund if the alternative flight does not suit your needs. But all the info I have been able to find so far is saying SAGA is still in business.

We were booked with Scot Travel who were using Saga as their carrier. We still have our accommodation and transfers, do you think that we should double up on these, just in case?

Has anyone taken advantage of the cover mentioned above, I'm always a little bit worried about parting with my money without recommendations.

I have, because I figured it was worth £ 8. Did it over the phone, very easy very few questions and my daughter has taken the annual one as she has few holidays lined up. It would make me a lot happy to book independant knowing I was covered for all aspects. No doubt there is get outs like all of them but because the premium was so low I feel better to have it than not.

Hi Steve, thankfully no but we are now at the stage of expecting a tandem at Dalaman and a tent in one of Icmeler's parks.

Our flights are now in the hands of Tommy Crook who must have benefitted from the Scot Travel crash and, as things stand, the flight times are the best that we have ever had. No doubt TC will find some way to b----r this us up.

It must be a major benefit living within an hour of an airport, the choice of flights without overnight stays must be very significant. As things now stand, we are in hotels on the way out and back and that is hellish when we have one of the longest runways (military) in Europe 5 miles from our front door.

Actually we only live half an hour away, all we have to worry about is who is going to give us a lift there, and who will pick us up.

i had originally booked with scot travel for june and august. put my claim forms in the day after they went bust and i am getting my money back for both holidays this month, and i had paid by debit card not a credit card. i thought that was pretty quick. only 18 sleeps till i go back. :) :)

Don't think you have anything to worry about if H4U say it exists then I am sure they are the people in the know as they are the ones chartering the airline to provide the service. It may even be that they usually use another airline but that particular date they are useing SAGA either way you have booked with H4U who as far as I know not in any financial difficulty therefore as they are a chartering company either way there will be an aircraft there. I am pretty certain you have nothing to worry about.

well at last it was finally confirmed that this flight is no longer, after being told as late as last week that there was nothing to worry about and the flight was still going ahead  At least they got in touch in time to book us on onur air flight next morning we might be the lucky ones if the flight was fully booked as they told me last week, they said it was cancelled due to the end of scottravel but i suspected this a long time ago. Never mind its only one extra sleep :D

Glad you got booked on another flight Lozzyloo, these airlines think we're stupid, I had the same problem in June when they tried to tell me my day flight was now going out at night which was absolute rubbish. The night flight was always going to be going, they had cancelled the day flight and put everyone on the night flight, thus trying to avoid saying it was cancelled. Anyway hope you have a good holiday

Sorry to hear the travel agent is messing you about. Saga airlines are still in business and are due delivery of an A330 to start doing Long Haul flights, they must of stopped chartering flights out to whoever you booked with.
