Independent Holiday Co Going Bust?

Postby tf7 » 16 Jun 2009 16:07

Im not sure if im getting paranoid or what? Please read and Advise where possible?

A week last Sunday we Booked A Holiday to Icmeler (Yippee) with the same Company whom we travelled to Marmaris Last Year, As an independent they send you vouchers via email for your Flight, Hotel and transfer arrangements (just like last year)

On receipt of the Vouchers I studied them and found some queries in relation to the actual Holiday that we had booked (Thankfully I had Scanned the Original Page on the Website) there written instructions and T@C's are that you email them with any issues/problems/queries?

For 5 days solid I have sent an Email (They claim they will respond within 24 Hours) to get answers to my queries, We have also tried to Fax all correspondence (this was returned "engaged")

Thankfully we paid in full by credit card (I think we are covered as the purchase is over £100) but we are generally concerned that NO response has been forthcoming from them.

In Fairness the Voucher Suppliers are well known reputable Companies (I dont think I am allowed to Name them? but i assume they would honour rhe bookings) so if yourholiday (hint) supplier is unable to answer there phones then perhaps you might have problems too.

Hopefully we will be in Icmeler August 19th , my first hoiliday there since August 01, How will I ever fail to remember the drubbing England Gave the Germans and the Hospitality and Friendship shown by all.

Sorry for the Rant?

think that says it all!

Just thought I would compose A generic reponse , my concerns are due to the lack of service and customer care to which I have experienced, my headline was based on this FACT alone, if someone failed to mend your car your heating despite numourous forms of contact, then Im sure you would have the same reservations, I have just opend my email and I have a reply, I wil keep you all informed of any update.

I have no wish to put the fear of god into those whom are travelling independently.

Lets hope it dosn't happen this year then?

Many thanks for the PM's but please read the thread carefully and you will find out for yourselves whom I have booked with, may I add that the (Voucher) suppliers of Hotel and Flights are 100% reputable and fully bonded, its the co that sold the package that I am having trouble with.

Enjoy yourholidays :?:
