music in bars

Postby skilly » 05 Jun 2006 18:42

does anyone know any bars that play music after the deadline even if its only low. i hate it when everything stops at a certain time, having a drink with no music at all is horrible

What is the entertainment like in the bars of an evening? Is it mostly karaoke, games and bar staff dancing? Do any of the the bars have "live" music such as turkish singers or bands, or traditional folk dancers?

If the music is switched off at 12 o'clock, what happens then, is there no entertainment? What time do the bars usually close?

Hiya

Not too sure on other bars..but bars i have been to i havent seen live bands etc.
Turkish nights in Alvaro and Deniz Kapisi..are like mock weddings, have belly dancers and the waiters do the folk dance,is a good night.
Breakdancers go around the bars...when there last week,in 3bells they had kids doing the breakdancing,i mean they must have been about 10-11...but they were brilliant.

The bars will stay open until you leave...they arent the type to say times up,drink up etc...
But after 12 there is very little entertainment...just music on but low.

I'm all for not making it another Marmaris, but I do think the bars should have there music on until 1am. Thats not IMO very late for a holiday resort, the bars must be losing a lot of buisness and they only have a short time to make there money.Iknow that you can go to 'discos' for late music, but just an extra hour would really be enough

I totally agree with you, 1am would be a much more resonable time because by the time you eat your meal etc and relax then theres not much time to dance!!!!

After Hours Drinking

Postby Laura » 06 Jun 2006 17:19

I don't know if anyone read my other thread but after hours there is a cafe in Icmeler Park, which is in the opposite direction to the beach, which is open all night. I think it is called Nazar cafe. Hakan speaks good English and serves reasonably priced food and drink throughout the night and it has music on too. You sit down on cushions set around trees and 4 inch high tables and each table arrangement is surrounded by a pool of water and fountains and fairy lighting. It is absolutely idyllic and definitely where I will be after hours when I come back.

Hiya Skilly

Deniz Kapisi is situated on the beach front.
Main road coming into Icmeler...the road where Tansas is on,you know this??
Well follow the road round you will come to Hotel Mersoy..Mirage,past these towards the beach and Deniz Kapisi is right in front of you.
The dolmus' all terminate there too, depending on where you are in Icmeler.
Where are you staying, may be able to give better directions
