Icmeler Park, after hours

Postby Laura » 27 May 2006 23:44

For anyone who doesn't know there is a cafe in Icmeler Park which is open after hours too. Go up Kayabal Street away from the beach and when you reach the T junction turn right, it is on the right. I think it is called Nazar Cafe? Hakan speaks great English and will serve food and drink from their Turkish kitchen into the early hours. You can sit amongst the trees, on floor cushions, surrounded by streams of water and it is lovely. Even during the day it is lovely and when I was there was full of Turkish children playing in the park next door and workers eating lunch. It was a real find and definitely worth a visit, especially when the sunburn gets too much and a frsh orange juice in the shade of a few leafy trees is what is in order!

Yeah its really nice there, very relaxing, and quite romantic as well. I'll be going there when I go back in a few days.

hi Laura,
i answered this a while ago and can't find where it's gone :? :? i just wanted to ask is this restaurant near the main rd to marmaris? last year we went for a walk in the early morning and we found a little park with benches and there was a small restaurant nearby with cushions & sofas. there was no-one about and i'd love to spend some time there if it's as nice as you say

Cafe in the Park

Postby Laura » 06 Jun 2006 17:21

Yes, it is on a main road, on the opposite side of the road from where the surrounding hills start sloping up, but the cafe is set back from the road, and this year it has all been refurbished. Skino is right about the romance bit, but even during the day it is a beautiful place to be. If you have kids there is a park with climbing frames and stuff for them to play on too.
