we have been in late june and it was very very hot - about 100 degrees!!
one excursion we really enjoyed was to ephesus, pammukale, cleopatras pool and the place the virgin mary lived after jesus was crucified. we went with an agency from marmaris but i can't remember the name. it cost about £60 ea and meals and 1 nights accomodation was included, it will probably cost a lot more now as this was about 5 years ago but it was something i'll remember always.
meals- we have had good meals at majestic boys.

If it is so hot in the day time - what about the night? Are cardis (ladies) and long pants (men) needed? Only ever been in July or September before so dont know what to expect - have talked to many who say temps are very similar to September but you never know.

Going 5th June - no tickets yet! But we will get there!

Hi Babs

I am the person who takes a cardi just in case! I never use it, it only takes up room in my case  It has always been very warm in June when we have been there, even at night! We need air con to ensure we get to sleep it's so warm! Enjoy your holiday, please give us a review when you return!

We went in 2004 late june - and yes had a very strong breeze some days, so much so it was blowing over the umbrellas around the pool! One of the guy said that June does tend to be more breezy. Went last year end July - not a breeze in sight and one day 52 degrees! On the night we returned, the temperature gauge in marmaris was 39 degrees at 2.30 am.

Up and about at 2.30am Tracy ...... you lush!

We're regulars in June (apart from last year) and the weather has always been nice, no need for wellies, rainmacks or even a cardigan although I do remember one year in early June we had torrential rain for about an hour then it turned beautiful ... if only it was like that in rainy Sheffield!
