As I have already posted, I was caught up in the XLAir shambles one week before flying out to Icmeler but I was assured by my holiday company that I would definitely be going.

All very good, but who with? Onur Air, Freebird or Pegasus, surely it would be one of these three? Our confirmation arrived on the morning of our departure advising that we were flying with FlyBestAir. A very quick Google before leaving for Glasgow informed us that this is another budget Turkish airline with 3 aircraft, 2 Airbus 321's and Oh my God an MD80.

Why worry, we've got a flight and actually at better times, so let's just hope that we get an A321. The incoming flight duly arrived at GLA on good time and it was an A321, joyous relief on my part! No more worries, a scatter of drams in departure and on to the flight.

The flight is called on time and we enter the cabin to be met by the trolley dollies dressed in t-shirts and jeans and the co-pilot with a pony tail down to his erchie! I've seen better dressed hijackers!!! Trepidation returns

The flight was completely uneventful apart from being charged £5.00 for a Coke sized can of Efes as the trolley dolly read the Euro sign as a £ sign. The Boots' ready meal went down very well with this and we arrived at Dalaman 15 minutes ahead of schedule

I am truly amazed that no one else has commented on this company although, possibly, they have never featured in UK before.

They got us there and got us back arriving in GLA at 7.45pm rather than XL at 2.45am next day and we were delighted with this.

15 mins out of Dalaman on the way home, at this point thunderstorms were prevalent throughout the eastern Med and mid-Europe, the plane bucked like a bronco with the worst turbulence we have felt for years. As a result there was a major change of course that took us up through Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Denmark then Sweden and across to GLA. It was one helluva long flight and instead of 4.25 hours, it was 4.75 hours but that was due to safety first.

Fore warned is fore armed but I would fly with them again, as a last resort

ive heard of them but only when my mate at work after the same xl fiasco got them back home

I got bm instead of xl and it was brilliant apart from the two neds on the plane who let them on that had to be removed before flight take off which took 1 hour

The MD80s are apparently not the smoothest of planes, they are the ones that have the engine near to the tail of the plane. They apparently don't handle tubulant areas very well unlike boeings and airbuses.

We used this airline in October and found them to be ok. When we first got on the plane and seen that they were wearing jeans I turned to my 14 year old and said "oh they must be doing jeans for gene day"!! My 14yr old replied that that was a couple of weeks ago and they are Turkish and I dont think they do that in Turkey. Apart from that they were fine and I would use them again.
