I think the results of the poll are not showing a correct result.
The question 'was 'should the music be turned off at 12am' but from what I have read the majority of people agree to soft background music going on after 12 . :?
There are only a few posters who agree that ALL music should be turned off.

We stayed at the Iguana appartments in September and the noise from the Antik bar next door was horrific, been to quieter Motorhead concerts, and I kid you not, Kendo

Mad music till 12 then background till 1am is great for me and one more point is if we ate at 7ish then the music was started at 9 we would feel we had more music

Thats a good point John as we also eat about 8ish and have finished for 9pm so music starting then would give three hours.
I am another who doesnt mind background music till 1 am as long as someone responsible is in charge of volume control.

I like the idea of quiet music after 12 too. I don't like the night ending too early, but don't want blaring music all night.

That pretty much sums up how I feel too. I think there is room for compromise here. I wouldn't like to see Icmeler become another Marmaris, but I don't think most people would object to a little quiet background music going on after midnight.

We stayed there in June and our apartment was above Chill bar so had noise from Chill, Antik and also the apartments behind. You could set your clock by Chill Bar, every night at the exact same time (11:45pm) they'd play Country Roads full blast.

Fantastic apartments but I'll stick to the Old Village.

Oh and I don't mind the music loud till 12am but hope not ALL the Bars feel they HAVE to blast their music from 10pm - 12am, it's nice to be able to chat with background music some nights.

Background music (LOW) till 1-2am is fine by me.

Not sure where you guys have been going or whether I have been in the wrong places or too drunk to realise, but every bar I went to shut the music off at 12am and that was it dead, no background music, or maybe I am just deaf!!! :D I would like the music to continue but like the majority of you just background music so you can chat, besides we have 2 clubs to go mental in ha, ha, ha

i think the loud music should finish at 12.00 then quiet background music. We love to chat and socialise, but it makes it impossible to have a conversation, with the loud music. It also gives the staff a chance for a natter as well.

I have been watching this poll with interest for some time now. I have to declare that as a wrinkley I like to have quiet nights. I do not enjoy the volume battle that seems to happen every night between some bars. Having said that I would love it if quiet background music could be played after midnight until about 1am.
The downside of allowing that would be the natural progression towards loud music after Midnight. As everybody is aware young Turkish waiters will by their very nature push the boundries, they do now. Their idea of quiet is somewhat different to mine. If the rules were changed it would not take long for all hell to be let loose again until daylight. So regretably I must support the Midnight rule.
