I believe that the noisy music will stop at midight as it does now, but you will then be able to still listen to quiter music for a while after. I agree that Icmeler doesn't need to be an extension of Marmaris, but sitting in bars after midnight is a very lonely experience sometimes. If there was quieter music, but the dancing/ cha-cha slide (yuk) etc stops, then we would have a better situation all round.

I like background music when having a beer and relaxing and agree that the 'boom-boom' needs to stop early for families, but when it's about 40 degrees we don't all want to go home early.

I think that Icmeler shouldn't turn into Marmaris, this would absolutely destroy all its charm etc etc and I for one wouldnt be back. However I'm from a 'typical' family ; Parent[s] and Brother/ Sister. At home not many families get much time to really let themselves go around each other as bars/pubs and things often dont allow younger children and restaurants are very restricting when it comes to dancing around and generally letting go. Thats why I think that Icmeler is a great family orientated place - it provides countless bars and restaurants where families can sit and have a meal and still can let their hair down. Thats why I think that Icmeler could benefit from a slightly longer allowance regarding music times - as this could give families a longer time together while enjoying themselves. 12 is a fairly early time to go home and to bed with children (especially on holiday) who are too young to go clubbing but get restless just sitting still and chatting. I do go to places that play loud music later in the night (Pleasure & Bar Street) but I do enjoy being around the family and they do not accompany me clubbing.

There are bars and things that don't play loud music and if that is what you prefer then there are those sorts of places, therefore just as it would be a travesty if every bar in Icmeler played loud music every night it would be exactly the same situation if every bar didn't play those typical 'holiday' tunes.

It is all a question of personal taste I think and Icmeler is never going to please everybody entirely no matter what changes the council make. I'm not trying to push my opinion on anybody and I'm also not trying to casue arguments just simply stating my case hope I haven't offended anyone.
