The feeling of being relaxed and so happy on your first morning when you wake up, nice cuppa tea in hand, sat on the balcony and thinking you have another 2 weeks of Icmeler. Sheer bliss.

My best experience I think was making friends on our first visit in 1995. We have remained very close friends with this family and love them to bits. I think my biggest wish would be to win the lottery and bring them home to my country, (Wales) so that I could spoil them all to bits, just like they do when we visit Icmeler every year.

Seeing them every year is something so special. I hope this never ends.

I agree with Lynda and Amy.
On the transfer from Dalaman I keep saying to hubby is it now, even though this will be our 13th time and I know how long it takes to reach that magical point.
Getting your first glimpse of Marmaris and Icmeler and knowing you are almost there is a fantastic feeling.

When you get to that point on the road from Marmris to Icmeler and see the whole bay of Icmeler from the top of the hill, then I know I am home once more. Of course it means I am then only minutes away from my first glass of chay!!

I can only agree with those who cite that point on the road when you first see the whole bay stretching out before you - and that wonderful feeling of being back in paradise again! Can't wait - just over three weeks to go and I'll be seeing that fantastic view again!

I'm another one who loves seeing Icmeler when you are coming from Marmaris. On your first night walking around the resort seeing everyone again, seeing their friendly smiles. :)
Hearing the mosque at the different times of the day.Sitting on the balcony after a day around the pool and just relaxing before you go out.

Threebell's meal of Bi Bim Bap (anyone going try this!)i must of eaten this about 5 times in 2 weeks and i could just eat it right now!! :P

Arrr to be there now! :(
Been 4 times this year including 6 weeks in the Winter and i miss it!!

Just read all the feelings of others and saw i had written one in 2006

Having just got back today after a second visit to my 'heart home' this year my feelings have not changed... seeing the sunrise over the bay
leaves with me with a feeling i cannot put into words, or when i sit alone at the Cafe de lamar first thing in the morning ....its Bliss with a capital B :D :D

Now im shedding a tear wishing i was back already

Hehe Pauline, I like to traipse through all the old posts when I am nightshift to pass the time away.
