Does anyone remember the La Fontana restaurant on the canal, not far from the Majestic restaurant? It was there in 2002 when we first went but then had gone in 2004. We really enjoyed the meals we had there.

I remember going to this restaurant several years ago but have noticed on our last few visits that it is no longer there. We got speaking to the owner who had an English wife and they also had, from memory, a another restaurant in Maidenhead.

I remember La Fontana, I stayed opposite at The Kanarya that year, and watched them close it down, the men worked nearly all night, and then slept on the front lawn for a few hours.

Does anyone remember the Dost Bar that used to be on the front just further along from Kontes? We used to spend lots of time there! That was about 1992 ish...?
