To be honest two weeks does me just fine, although I am always sad to be coming home, especially when you see others arriving

3 weeks in icmeler

Postby jivebunnie0 » 06 Jul 2008 19:43

yes kirky, we went for 3 weeks in 2006.... there was 7 of us and we decided that 2 weeks was just not going to be enough. You know how the first week is OK, but then before you know it, you're nearly at the end of your second week, and destined to start packing for home.... yes, you guessed it, it was the same with 3 weeks as well   it just gets harder to come home each time. We are going for  16 nights this time, as hubby cant take any more time off from work..... maybe he could leave me there

Kirky, wanted to go for 3 weeks and always said we would do it. Then we had our 6 year old daughter and then our 3 year old son, then our 20 month grandaughter (we have a 24 year old daughter too), then new grandaughter who was due yesterday and no signs. So just the 2 weeks this time but not complaining, by the time we get there will have 2 grandchildren and 2 little ones of our own. Happy days and 3 weeks some day

Hi Kirky

We went for 3 weeks last year for the first time (normally do 2 weeks in summer and 1 in Oct!) and it was brill. We are going on Tues for 3 weeks again. We have a 14 year old and an 8 year old and it cheaper being over in Icmeler with them than it is being at home. At home its always money money for the 14yr old but over there she doesnt need money as she has the pool or the beach all day to have fun in. Would love to go for all the school summer holidays but think maybe pushing it a bit

First time I visited Icmeler 5/6 years ago was for 3 weeks (was 3wks for price of 3 offer) was same price to go there as it was Spain etc for 2wks and decided to give Turkey a go and have to say had the best holiday ever that year, just wish I had more holidays to do that now prefer to go may & september. We loved the 3wks :)

I went for 3 weeks last year and it went so fast. Im going again for 3 weeks. Now that i have been for 3 weeks there is no way i could go for less again. I would stay longer than 3 weeks if i could.

We went for four weeks in May this year and loved every minute. In fact we received very little hassle as bars/restaurants got to know we were there for so long. One evening we passed a bar and a new member of staff asked us to take a card.....the manager told him to be quiet and said our names to him. The only thing we found was that we were lost for what to eat. The supermarkets do not stock the variety that we have, and we could not eat out every night. I would go for four weeks again but be a bit better prepared regarding food. Bars told other customers that we were locals and I think people believed them. I would recommend go for as long as you can.
