Gileria park Hotel

Just got back after a very enjoyable and hot week

Hotel was basic, food was poor, everywhere was often in darkness as the owner/manager trolled the place turning everything off. The lifts were out of order daily.

Room was clean and tidy with a daily maid service. Air con was free.

We had booked in the Abacus complex with Goldtrail (yes I know) but got moved to the Gileria as they had over booked by 21 rooms. Our friends were in the Abacus and it was a far better hotel so we were rather miffed to say the least.

Anyway we enjoyed our first visit to Turkey and think Icmeler is probably one of its better resorts.

What did stand out was the amount of middle aged women with what seemed to be an obvious agenda, also I did notice some bars were quite
skimpy with the spirits especially later on into the night. I soon sussed this and sent several drinks back.

All in all a fine place which with better planning by me I will return to.

Glad you had a good holiday Dave and it wasnt spoiled by your TO over-booking.

You certainly need to watch your drinks in some bars, I just send it back and tell them I will continue to send it back until I can TASTE the vodka!
