It takes about 1/4 of an hour I'd say and it's not for the feint-hearted as it is full of hairpin bends, but the views of out of this world. What we normally do is catch the dolmus going (or get a lift off someone), then catch the water taxi back. It's a lovely day out.

If I remember rightly it was shingle. The beach doesn't go back very far, think it only had about 4 rows of sunbeds, so would advise you to stay at icmeler or marmaris beach but it's nice to go for a the day. Very sleepy little place, and I also found some of the copies are better quality there, slightly more expensive but look better I thought.

Last time we went to Turunc by taxi, and got the Dolmus back when we got to the top of the mountain the driver pulled over so we could take some photo's of the surrounding scenery.

the beach is quite shingley, i wore my crocks to go in the sea one reason was because of the big rocks in sea and the second reason was last week the weather was so hot you could not walk on the sand it burnt my feet

Hi Mandy
I'd definitely plump for the water taxi over the dolmus - unless you like scary rides ha ha

also, there's a thread on here that mentions Turunc market - think Colette and Gene [Red Rhino] posted on it.....you can search for it using the button at the top of the page
