Yeah Jozzyd - you're probably right....I'm not really into pain in a big way, and tweezers hurt enough and make me sneeze and my eyes stream ...... not to mention the bikini line

little tip for you ......... take a couple of painkillers before you go - really helps take the edge off

also, don't go when the eagle's landed or it'll hurt ten times as much

I had it done to my eyebrows after i went in for a shave in one of the barbers...and for all you guys out there DO NOT let them do this to you!

There is no pain in this world which compares to someone threading your eyebrow hair, and I include plucking in that! I thought I had a high pain threshold (I have tattoos) but god no, never again!!

I had it done a few years ago in Icmeler. We had met a Turkish friend of ours who lives in Istanbul all winter and Icmeler or marmaris in the summer. He took us to a hairdresser for my husband to have a shave and said to me that he had asked them to do a treatment that is really good and his wife had done regularly.None of the staff could speak much English and were young lads.So when I sat down in the chair and he started winding the thread and with it between his teeth then his face right close to mine,I was nearly messing myself!I thought it was painful but afterwards my face was as smooth as a babys bum.Felt really weird!Dont even know how much it cost as our friend had paid and just left us there.Pretty expensive here, quite a few places do it now but I never been tempted to have it done again! As for doing it yourself.....I imagine you could end up minus half your skin!
