There is no Limit taking into Dalaman as far as I am aware. The limits only apply of you are travelling to the likes of Spain etc. I could be wrong but I am sure that is correct.

Try and google "duty free into Turkey", there are limits. It is cheaper to buy in Dalaman I was allowed 2 litres per passport (Iasked the staff there). I think that is in addition to what you can take from the UK but limits do apply.

Yes Mags you're right, we asked last year and were allowed 2 litres each plus what we brought in from UK.

Just been looking on a website and it says you can only take 200 ciggs each into Turkey, plus 400 purchased at airport on arrival,so why are Onur Air selling them in 1,000 packs!!.

Some Uk Airports offer a service of buying in the shop before you fly and collecting on your way back home at customer service desk.As this is after customs you could also bring back your usual allowance as well.Think this works but I have not tried it myself yet.

To ne honest I have never seen anyone checking what you are bringing in, have never seen any Police or Security until I got to Passport control and he wasn't looking what I had.

I think it's just a case of luck. Personally I've never been stopped, but have seen other people that have been pulled up that have had thousands of cigarettes in their luggage, they always seem to collar these people straight away . I guess it all depends on how much you're prepared to lose and the gamble you're prepared to take.

Talking about going back to uk here

Cigarettes are cheaper at Dalaman on arrival, so I would just buy them there.

Yes 200 per person and that's it. They will tell you anything at Dalaman airport.
