Selen 11 is a nice hotel with a kids water slide and situated next door to Charisma bar and very close to restaurants like Moonlight and 3 Bells.

Tansas supermarket very close also.

5-10 minutes walk to the beach and more if you decide to stop at one of the numerous bars on the way there.

They used to do an afternoon eat as much as you want tea and cake session every day for 5 milion erm I mean 5 lira and my wife used to laze the afternoon away there.

Hi Angela:

My daughter and I stayed at the Selen ii in Sept/Oct last year. It's a very nice hotel which was refurbished a couple of years ago. It's located in a side street away from the main roads so is really quite quiet although only a short walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely book it again for one of our many visits to Icmeler. I'm sure you'll be very happy there - have a lovely time!

Nothing wrong with the boats but you will be lucky if you see any turtles but is a good day out to see the rock tombs and to visit the mud (sulphur baths for a photograph) but it is a long day out on the boat.

Been on many a boat trip and had a great time- only problem is when you get back on land and you feel like its moving. often go out with the boat fromThe Golmar Hotel with 20 other people, who all know each other- the noise on the way back into Icmeler has made many a person look at what is happening- mind you I think alot of drink has been involved.

That will all be changed this year with all the boats being moored along the new jetty on the other side of the bay but I wonder if they will give a lap of honour along the beach

Does that mean all the trip boats are going to be parked there- what about the diving boats. What will happen to where the boats use to park up in the centre of the beach. That will spoil any view from the Golmar. Have you any pictures of what is going on? Cheers Moira

The Jetty is nowhere near to the Golmar and is at the bottom of the cliff near to the private holiday homes and will actually enhance the view as all the boats that are in front of the Dragon where the diving boats are now will be moved further along that stretch away from the front.

Sorry thought the jetty was what we observed being built this year in the sea directly infront of the Golmar and the Dragon. Are we at crossed purposes? Is there another one? Having stayed there many times we were use to the boats next to the cliff- it was often good to walk along there and didn't spoil our view from the beach. It concerned many people who stayed here and in the Marbas that the building of the jetty would stop us seeing so much from the beach and bring pollution from the boats to that corner of Icmeler. So what is the small Jetty that was being built in front of that stretch of the beach going to be used for- Just the diving boats? If there is another jetty apart from the one we observed being built , where is it?

Hmm maybe that is the one you are talking about but is a lot further away from the hotels than where the boats are or were being moored last year.
