We first went to Turkey Marmaris in 1995 now I was always a fussy eater, but for some reason we bought some Kebabs from a street seller and they would always ask if we wanted Pitta or Half bread which was half of a 12/15 inch french stick,it was so nice we ended up having them often my Question is I have always been under the impression that they were Donner kebabs (Lamb),but we have been to Turkey a number of times over the years but the only Kebabs I have seen them selling was chicken Kebabs, can someone put me straight do they or did they do Donner Kebabs or am I mistaken.
i have seen lamb but i dont think they are like the processed ones we get here. there used to be a seller opposite Marios overlooking the sea and his were the business, not sure what happened to him....or the pastry seller down the canal..

am sure we've had doner kebabs from the pide places , but it's not doner as we know it
best thing to do would be to ask the bar lads - they know all the best places to go
